Senator Harvey is currently a member of the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources committee, where he has worked to encourage the productive and responsible use of Colorado's natural resources.

He has fought for affordable energy by supporting increased domestic energy exploration and the expansion of new forms of energy production, including oil shale and renewable sources. Senator Harvey also supports removing barriers to the production of nuclear energy and hopes to remove the excessive regulatory burdens that slow the development of new energy sources.

Ted has a Master's degree in Public Policy with an emphasis on Natural Resource Policy. He supports increased domestic energy exploration, including oil shale production, as well the expansion of renewable energy sources through the free market.



Bill to Protect Waterways Passes Senate

February 19, 2009

A bipartisan group of Senators voted in favor of Ted Harvey's bill to protect Colorado's waterways by toughening penalties for pollution. Senate Bill 119 passed easily and will be considered by the House soon. Representative Frank McNulty will be the House sponsor.
